Arq’s ‘Netflix for careers’ solution voted people’s choice
Arq’s passion for customer-centricity and personalisation were channelled to create a prototype to help people transitioning to a new career at a recent hackathon.
Our ideas and innovation are helping Qantas achieve their goal to be famous for digitally enabled customer experiences that are personalised, intuitive and seamlessly connected.
Qantas is doing exceptionally well driving innovation through hackathons. Arq Group is one of Qantas’ trusted partners to deliver their first Mobile Domain Hackathon for 2019. Recently our Sydney office hosted 60 plus talented hackers, which saw our George Street office transformed into an innovation hub with huge success over the action-packed two-day agenda.
The whole Qantas Mobile tribe across design, engineering and product collaborated under the theme - "Personalisation and shop smart within the digital/mobile journey” with the end goal to accelerate the Shop Smart Experience for Qantas customers.
The event kicked off with a welcome from Karis Dorrigan; a keynote by Tory Epworth on strategic insights and opportunities while Anthony Gyenge gave an update on Experience and Customer needs.
To inspire the hackers and invoke an inventive mindset, the keynotes were followed by several lightning talks from industry experts driving content relating to personalisation and machine learning.
Hackers explored existing Qantas Frequent Flyer (QFF) data and pain points to fuel ideas and prototype solutions. Qantas Executives were on-site to support and inspire the ingenious hackers as their concepts evolved in real-time digital solutions.
Five teams worked on revolutionary concepts that will offer QFF members flights, deals and ancillary recommendations via an app shop-front, based on their profile, past search or purchasing behaviour.
Teams design concept and ideas will help improve end-user experience, spring-boarding new and innovative digital solutions for Qantas’ customers.
