Arq partners with Tableau to turn data into stories

All data tells a story. But how do you turn that data into something meaningful and compelling enough to influence change?

Eighty women found out how at the She Loves Data event on Tuesday 26 March. Arq Group’s Data and Analytics business were thrilled to partner with Tableau to host the workshop.

Storytelling is a prominent feature of Tableau, a visual analytics platform that helps people and organisations to be data-driven. You have the data—but what story does the data tell?

Trainer Cynthia Halim, showed our guests how data stories can be used to communicate with decision makers, and how data stories can be used to impact lasting change.

Mark Airs, Victorian General Manager of Arq’s Data & Analytics business was happy with the response and said the event was closely aligned to our business.

“We hosted this event for a number of reasons. It was done in conjunction with one of our key technology partners in the Data and Analytics domain – Tableau. Also, the key promotion period aligned with International Women’s Day and as a Work180 endorsed employer, we were keen to support such an initiative promoting women in tech.

“To have a room full of 80 passionate women eager to learn and display their abilities was fantastic to see and everybody certainly appreciated Arq’s involvement,” Mark said
