The Gartner Magic Quadrants offer well-respected analysis of important markets across the tech industry and are commonly used as a reference for corporate and government organisations. The Magic Quadrant for Public Cloud Managed Service Providers is Gartner’s first in this market.
It is great recognition that Arq Group, an Australian based provider of public cloud managed services can compete on the global stage with other cloud providers. The Challenger status recognises Arq Group’s scale, scope of services, maturity of business model and criticality of services delivered.
While the scope of the assessment was related to global managed service providers, Arq Group was able to achieve a position in the Challenger quadrant despite being focused only on the Australian market.
“Being positioned as a “Challenger” in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant is great recognition of Arq Group’s experience and capability in providing market leading cloud solutions to our clients” said Peter Wright, Managing Director, Enterprise. “Australian businesses have always been rapid adopters of new technology and it is pleasing to see local organisations can choose a local partner in the Public Cloud Managed Services Market with a proven ability to execute. When coupled with our expertise across mobile, data and analytics and security, this reinforces Melbourne IT’s position as Australia’s most impactful technology business.”
“Arq Group’s Cloud Services practice provides the people, experience and tooling to fuel the competitiveness of business through the effective use of digital technologies. By migrating and managing market-facing systems in the cloud and breaking up monolithic legacy applications to logical component parts, Arq Group’s Cloud Services can help organisations become more competitive and respond more rapidly to market changes and customer needs” says Steve McCormick, Executive Director, Cloud Services Practice.
